We begin with our creamy Wheat Vodka that is flavored with tart cherry juice from the Leelanau Peninsula and dark cocoa. This beautifully balanced, cherry-flavored Vodka is not too sweet and has a hints of vanilla and cocoa on the finish. We suggest mixing this one with lemonade!
chipotle vodka

Our Wheat Vodka infused with chipotle peppers to create a smoky and spicy flavor. This vodka is perfect for Bloody Mary lovers who like a little heat.
cocoa bean vodka

We infuse our wheat vodka with organic cocoa nibs and navel oranges to bring a hint of orange to the forefront and a dark cocoa flavor overall. This vodka pairs well with an coffee cocktail like an Espresso Martini or a White Russian.
true north rye vodka

The True North Vodka is our original spirit at Grand Traverse Distillery, and one we're very proud of. This vodka has won many awards for it's overall flavor, which has hints of bread dough and black pepper from the rye grain, and has an incredibly smooth finish making it a great sipper in a martini or wonderful to mix in cocktails.
wheat vodka

This vodka is produced similarly as our flagship True North Rye vodka, but with a Russian style wheat base. It's earthy with a soft neutral finish and a sweeter note overall on the palate. The wheat vodka is a great mixer in any vodka-based cocktail.

cherry whiskey

We use a Bourbon base for this whiskey, then add a touch of Montmorency tart cherry concentrate from the Leelanau Peninsula for the cherry flavoring. This creates a subtle natural hint of cherry on the back of the palate, making it great to either drink on the rocks or mix into cocktails like an Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour, or with your choice of soda.

This Bottled in Bond Straight Bourbon has a mash bill of 60% corn, 30% rye, and 10% malted barley. It's aged for 4 years in new American White Oak barrels. There are primary notes of oak and caramel, but also a touch of spice and black pepper from the high rye grain mash bill.
Bottled in Bond ole george rye whiskey

This is pure, unadulterated Colonial America style 100% Bottled in Bond Straight Rye Whiskey with a 95% rye and 5% malted rye mashbill. This is what the Protestant Scots Irish and German immigrants crafted when they brought the Still to America. Earthy, hearty rye that is clean and crisp with a balance of pepper notes, this is bold and flavorful, holding its beautiful flavor profile when served neat, on the rocks, or in classic cocktails like the Manhattan.

Our signature 100% Straight Rye Whiskey aged an additional 18 months in a French oak barrel brings aromatic notes of smoke and caramel to the already-matured Ole George Whiskey. If you like the Ole George and strong oaky flavors this is the whiskey for you!
isles o' rye whiskey

Locally grown rye and peated malted barley from Scotland join forces to merge American rye spice with the richness of traditional peated single-malt whiskey. The palate on this is earthy from the rye grains and a touch smokey from the peated malted barley.
solera bourbon

Our bourbon, aged four years in American white oak, is moved to a barrel-tiered system. The oldest American white oak is on top, toasted high Vanillin barrels on 2nd tier, and cognac barrels on the bottom. Over time, 50% of the whiskey is removed from the bottom barrel and replaced from the barrels above. This cascading method exposes the whiskey to a mix of different oaks and gives the bourbon a constantly evolving depth and complexity.
Solera Ole George

Our Ole George Rye Whiskey is aged in American White Oak for 4 years, then moved to our cascading Solera system. This consists of pulling part of the barrel and moving it to our high vanillin French Oak barrel for 1 year, then pulling part of that barrel and moving it to our Cognac barrel. This system of fractional barrel aging and blending exposes the whiskey to a mix of different oaks and imparts a constantly evolving harmony and sophistication of flavors on the palate.
Maple Ole George

Our Ole George Rye Whiskey starts by aging for 4 years in a new American white oak barrel, then we take a barrel that previously barrel-aged maple syrup and age the whiskey for an additional 5 years. There are hints of sweetness coming from the residual maple in the barrel and tempers down the spice and pepper notes from the rye whiskey.
Amburana Bourbon

This Amburana Bourbon starts as our Straight Bourbon which is aged for 4 years in an American white oak barrel, then gets moved for 6 months to an Amburana barrel. The Amburana barrel provides notes of cinnamon, baking spices, oatmeal, and molasses.
American Single Malt Whiskey

A 100% malted barley grain bill, aged for 7.5 years. Notes of tobacco, nutty vanilla, honey, cinnamon, and baking spice. Finishes with hints of anise and leather.
Lando whiskey

50% ALC/VOL
This Single Pot American Whisky is 50% malted barley, 50% barley and is aged for 4+ years. This sweet malt, light honey, and mild heat flavor finishes soft with a lingering sweetness from the malt.

Cask Strength
This is our Rye Whiskey pulled from a single barrel right at cask strength after being aged for four to five years. The high proof brings out the sweeter toasted oak notes balanced with the earthy flavor from the Rye, along with a punch on the back of the palate from the cask strength. *This product is highly variable based on the barrel pick and changes based on availability. Not available in our tasting rooms at this time.

our gins

peninsula gin

We use our Wheat Vodka and infuse it with six botanicals. Not a typical London Dry-style Gin, this is a complex, bright, and citrusy Gin with mellow juniper berry properties that dance in the citrus. This gin is clean, and crisp and holds its own in classic cocktails as well as tonic water.
barrel finished gin

This is our Peninsula Gin that has been barrel-aged for 10 months. On the front of the palate, there’s a balance of citrus and juniper and the flavor finishes with a sweet vanilla and oaky note.

silver reserve rum

Crafted from Grade A Caribbean sugar cane molasses, this is what Rum from Colonial America tasted like. Buttery, vanilla with hints of molasses and butterscotch, this Rum is fantastic in classic cocktails that are meant to show off the Rum.
dark reserve rum

Our aged rum starts as our Silver Reserve Rum, distilled from Caribbean molasses, and is aged in oak barrels for 7 years. The undertones of this rum are sweet flavors of butterscotch and vanilla, and the overtones consist of rich oak notes from the barrel. The Dark Reserve Rum can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or even in a cocktail like the Dark & Stormy.
